About us, at The Cotswold Dog Lodge holiday stay for dogs.
The alternative to kennels in Worcestershire
Hello, my name is Anthea. I live in the village of Childswickham, near Broadway, in Worcestershire. I share my life with my husband, Kevin, some assorted chickens and our border collie, West.
Located on the edge of the village, we are set within 35 acres of farmland. The property is approached via a long drive and is situated well away from any busy roads. We have a large enclosed and secure garden with gorgeous views across the fields to the Cotswold escarpment and the imposing folly, Broadway Tower.
I am a farmer’s daughter and have many years of experience with pet and working sheep dogs. I have attended dog training classes and have studied a Lantra Awards approved course in dog and pet care and first aid for dogs.
My husband, Kevin, is a photographer who works from our home. He has worked with dogs and animals in a professional capacity, producing photographs for advertising agencies and organisations such as the RSPCA, Countrywide, and the NFU. He is always on hand to help with our guests who will often sneak into Kevin’s office and curl up beside his desk for a little quiet time while he edits his images.
You can view some more of his dog photography here.
Our 4 year old border collie, West, hails from Exmoor and is descended from a long line of working sheepdogs. West is a lively but friendly soul. He loves his cuddles, he is devoted to his tennis ball and enjoys regular long walks through the countryside.
Doggy day care and overnight boarding.
The Cotswold Dog Lodge is inspected annually and licensed for home dog boarding by the Wychavon District Council and we have full public liability insurance.
At the Cotswold Dog Lodge we provide day care and overnight home boarding for our doggy guests seven days a week. Your loyal pet can have a short break, a long stay or can just come and play for the day.
We understand how important it is that your dog is happy and contented while you are away from them. We will treat your dog as a member of our family. He or she will continue to enjoy their usual routine and home comforts, with plenty of one to one attention and company.
We promise to provide our guests at the holiday stay for dogs with a safe, fun-filled and stress-free experience. After all, if your dog is happy – you will be happy.
